Ignorance and arrogance
Ignorance and arrogance are the two main elements that characterize the Italian road-social behavior. In my view, any pattern can be read under the light of the first or second, or a commingling of the two.
Ignorance is usually the base, arrogance triggered in situations of conflict. If you respect the speed limit , come flashing and possibly insulting. L ' ignorance is not knowing what that limit is there for a reason, even if only for a matter of noise to nearby homes. L ' arrogance, at one level, it is absurd to think that the limit (and this is still ignorance, arrogance). At the second level in the flash and sound to another, ie the outward manifestation.
It 'so much, arrogance, which I do not stop in front of a general freedom to behave as you want: bon, that this plan goes, will arrive later. No, because doing get a bit 'me too later (actually very little), my arrogance prevents me from analyzing my ignorance, and possibly putting into question my , behavior as wrong, but I do find the his as wrong, and not to little, if arrival at the point of expressing even violent behavior, that is, flash and so on.
In Italy, in road, we missed the ford, and we are in the mode most arrogant ignorance. prevention campaigns link on ignorance, not arrogance. This link also arrogance, but arrogance is too much when, as in Italy, there is probably a way to aim there as well. Unfortunately, in line with the general attitude prevailing anti-prevention, the only way it happens when a serious accident to himself or a relative or close friend. Nor is it then said that "the period of care" would be lasting, because the limits of fines to absurd and cash are now incontrovertible truth. We must think for
generations, and to think in those terms more than anything else the next. The present them to us we are a little 'play. Somehow they can also be fined, but more with the attitude of a shepherd dog that barks the sheep to prevent them falling into a crevasse, and with the mother who complains the child who ate the cookies before dinner.
